ICC T20 World Cup 2024: BCCI should respect Kohli and Rohit like Dhoni, Suresh Raina demanded. Rohit Sharma, captain of the winning team of T20 World Cup 2024, and Virat Kohli, who won the title of Man of the Final of the tournament, have retired from international T20 cricket.

Speaking to Jio Cinema, former Indian player Suresh Raina said that “I request the BCCI to retire jersey number-18 and jersey number-45.
BCCI should keep these jerseys in its office. BCCI has already retired jersey number-7. BCCI should do the same for jersey number-18 and jersey number-45.
New cricketers will take inspiration from these jerseys. Both these jerseys have given victory to Team India on many occasions. New people coming to the field of cricket should get inspiration by seeing these jerseys. “
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma’s jersey number is 45. At the same time, Virat Kohli’s jersey number is 18. Suresh Raina is appealing to BCCI to retire these two jerseys.
BCCI has retired only 2 jerseys so far. BCCI retired his jersey number-7 honoring Mahendra Singh Dhoni 3 years after his retirement.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni had won the World Cup trophy for India twice as captain. Earlier, BCCI had retired Sachin Tendulkar’s jersey number-10 forever in 2017.
