Sydney Thunder Terminates Its Deal With Afghanistan Fast Bowler Fazalhaq Farooqui. after an investigation into a ‘behaviour’ incident was launched by Cricket Australia’s Integrity Unit.
Farooqi’s behavior after an incident on 15 December:-
The Thunder said the club received a complaint about Farooqui’s behavior following an incident on Thursday, 15 December, and forwarded it to CA for investigation.

Following that investigation, and a subsequent hearing and decision by a CA Conduct Commissioner. The Thunder have decided to terminate Farooqui’s contract.
Farooqi had already played one match for the Thunder. Taking 2-20 and making a first-ball duck with the bat – before the incident occurred.
NSW CEO Lee Jarmon said:-
Cricket NSW CEO Lee Jarmon said: “The behavior displayed by Fazlahaq Farooqi sits outside our values and. It was determined that his contract should be terminated.
“Our focus is now on providing the necessary support to those affected by this incident.”
A CA statement said the details of the incident were confidential. And that neither CA nor the Thunder would comment further.
The Thunder stating that no decision had been made on a replacement player. The club facing the Brisbane Heat (twice), Hobart, Perth and the Sydney Sixers as they expecting Farooqui to be available.
The 22-year-old has scored 17 times in T20 Internationals:-
The 22-year-old has represented his country 17 times in T20 Internationals. The most recent of which came against Australia in Afghanistan’s T20 World Cup last month at the Adelaide Oval.
Farooqi picked up the wickets of Matthew Wade and Cameron Green in that match. Conceding only 29 runs in a performance. That caught the eye of the Thunder list managers.

The left-hander – whose yorkers are a feature of his death-bowling game. Is also a member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad for the IPL. Farooqi has also signed up with the MI Emirates team. For their next scheduled match in the UAE’s ILT20 competition starting in January.
