Renuka’s mom, Sunita Thakur, spoke to a news channel, revealing that Renuka had to miss the wedding due to the match. She even quoted her daughter saying, “For me, the country comes first, then the wedding. I won’t be able to make it.”

Even though Renuka couldn’t attend the wedding, she proved her dedication on the field. Against Pakistan, she bowled a phenomenal spell, taking 2 wickets in 4 overs while conceding only 14 runs!

Reports say Renuka’s father passed away when she was young. He was a huge cricket fan and a big admirer of Vinod Kambli. He even named his son Vinod after the legendary cricketer.
