Team India is To Leave For London Immediately After IPL league Stage For WTC Final. The final match of the London World Test Championship 2023 (World Test Championship 2023) is to be played between the Indian team and the Australian team from 7th June.

Will have to leave for London after two days:-

At the same time, all the players of Team India will have to leave for London two days after the end of the league stage match of IPL 2023 (IPL 2023).

The last match of IPS 2023 i.e. the final match is to be played on 28 May. But the players of the team have to leave for London on 23 May.

But the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid and the sports staff and IPL-dropped players will fly to England with the first batch. The rest of the players will join the team after the final of the IPL.

A BCCI official had confirmed to InsideSport the early departure of Dravid and the rest of the players for the WTC final set to be played against Australia from June 7-11.

India is also looking at playing the multi-day format in England to get acclimatized to the conditions.

A BCCI official told Sport that “Rahul will leave for London in the last week of May, around May 23-24.

His IPL campaign will come to an end:-

The players will leave after their IPL commitments. Some will go with Dravid as his IPL campaign ends”.

Team India’s problems increased due to the injury of players:-

Team India is also battling injury concerns of two of its key players ahead of the WTC final.

KL Rahul has pulled a hamstring and his chances of being ruled out of the WTC have increased to a great extent. The LSG captain has already been ruled out of the IPL 2023 season.

However, in the WTC, Rahul was ready to play a key role in the middle order for the team. Apart from this, Rahul is also the second wicketkeeper in the team along with KS Bharat. Apart from Rahul, Jaydev Unadkat’s fitness will also be closely monitored.

Fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat had injured his shoulder and is now undergoing rehabilitation at NCA. The BCCI is hopeful that Unadkat will regain full fitness before the WTC final.

Along with the 15-member squad, the BCCI has also named five standby players. If either Rahul or Unadkat is ruled out of the final match, then the standby players can be included in the main team.
