Team India will play two practice matches before the IND vs WI Test series. The Indian cricket team is going to tour West Indies after losing in the World Test Championship final.

Team India busy for a long time on West Indies tour:-

At the same time, 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 5 T20 matches are to be played between India vs West Indies. At the same time, Team India is going to be busy for a long time on the West Indies tour.

At the same time, Rohit Sharma and Co. have to play 2 practice matches before the first match of the Test series, for which Team India is going to leave soon in different groups.

Most of the players are celebrating holidays after losing in the World Test Championship final. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are still in London and will fly to the Caribbean in separate batches.

According to a Cricbuzz report, securing tickets to Barbados on larger flights has been a challenge. That’s why Team India will reach there in batches.

Although the entire Indian team cannot go together, that is why the team will reach West Indies in separate groups?

Two practice matches will be played before the Test series:-

Some players will reach Georgetown and Guyana before heading to Barbados for a training camp. Head coach Rahul Dravid and other coaching staff will also join them in Barbados.

However, both the practice matches will not be of first class. The team management had requested Cricket West Indies through the BCCI for first-class matches.

Team India chose Barbados instead of Roseau:-

It will be a mixed team with some local players joining the Indian team for practice games. Due to poor facilities at the venue, Team India has chosen Barbados instead of Roseau.

A Cricket West Indies official told Cricbuzz that “they are taking practice at Kensington Oval until we can send them privately to Dominica before the start of the Test series”.

The West Indies team’s camp will be held at the High-Performance Center at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua. He will go to Dominica before the Test.

Test specialists as well as some multi-format players who are playing in the World Cup 2023 qualifiers will directly reach Dominica. He will not be able to play in the final of the World Cup qualifiers to be held on 9 July.
