The three-match T20I series will begin:-

India’s international domestic season will begin in September 2022–23 with a three-match T20I series against Australia followed by a three-match T20I and ODI series against South Africa.

Mohali will host the first T20I against Australia on 20 September, with Nagpur and Hyderabad hosting the second and third on 23 and 25 September respectively.

The home series against South Africa will begin on September 28 in Thiruvananthapuram. The second T20I will be played in Guwahati on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2022, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, followed by the last T20I in Indore on October 4.

The action will shift to Lucknow on 6th October:-

The action will then shift to Lucknow on October 6 where the ODI series will begin. Ranchi and Delhi will host the second and third ODIs on 9 and 11 October respectively.

Team India is currently on a tour of the West Indies. They won the ODI series against West Indies 3–0. They are currently playing a five-match T20I series against them, in which they are currently leading 2-1.

After this, the Men in Blue will play Zimbabwe. India will play 3 ODIs against Zimbabwe from August 18 to August 22.

Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in 3 ODIs in Zimbabwe. He recently led the Men in Blue to a 3-0 win over the West Indies in the recently concluded ODI series in the Caribbean. Senior players like Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Jasprit Bumrah are not part of the team.

Rahul Tripathi representing Sunrisers Hyderabad:-

Rahul Tripathi, who represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has also been named in the squad for his good performance in IPL 2022. The batsman had a great IPL season with SRH.

In 14 matches he played for his side, he scored 413 runs at an average of 37.55. He scored three fifties this season with the best score of 76 and a strike rate of 158.23. He was the second highest run scorer for his side.

Washington Sundar is also making a comeback to the team after being injured. He recently began his stint with Lancashire in county cricket and took five wickets against Northamptonshire. Deepak Chahar has also returned to the team after injury.
