IND vs SA ODIs: The BCCI included Washington Sundar in the team in Replace of Deepak Chahar. The name of Chahar’s replacement (Deepak Chahar Replacement) has been announced.

Washington Sundar has been included in the team in place of Chahar, he will be available for the second ODI to be held in Ranchi.

Chahar had a stiff back after the third and final T20 International against South Africa in Indore and was not in India’s playing XI in the first ODI in Lucknow.
Deepak will now go back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and will be monitored by the medical team. Chahar, 30, recently made a comeback from a protracted injury during the ODI series in Zimbabwe.

He featured in only six matches – four T20Is and two ODIs – before being pulled out of the series. Chahar was one of the standby pacers of India’s T20 World Cup campaign.
Chahar was the frontrunner along with Mohammed Shami to replace pacer Jasprit Bumrah in the 15-man main squad. India may announce the name of its last member this week.

Meanwhile, Sundar, who last played for India in February, will also make a comeback in the national team after a setback of injury.
The Tamil Nadu all-rounder, who had a good run in county cricket with Lancashire, was ruled out of India’s tour of Zimbabwe due to a shoulder injury.

India will play the second ODI in Ranchi on Sunday and the last ODI of the series in New Delhi on Tuesday.
