Keeping in mind the upcoming T20 World Cup next year, top officials of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Rahul Dravid are engaged in extensive discussions about Rahul’s potential continuation as the head coach.

Well, everyone feels that the T20 World Cup is going to be held in seven to eight months, so it will take time for a new coach to come and form a team and decide on a process. He (Dravid) is fully aware of this. ,

The official said that the decision will be taken only after fully considering all the aspects.

He said, “We are also discussing whether the combination of the current coach and captain will be needed in the T20 World Cup or not. We are hoping to reach a decision soon so that things become clear.

It is also noteworthy that the board is quite happy with the way Dravid has worked with captain Rohit in the last two years even though they have not been able to win any global trophy.

Laxman is currently working as the head coach for the ongoing five-match T20 International series against Australia and whenever Dravid has been rested during his tenure, he has performed the responsibility well.
