The Big Change in Sri Lankan Team, Now Dhananjay De Silva Gets Big Responsibility

There was a big change in the Sri Lankan team, now Dhananjay de Silva got a big responsibility. Now another big change has been seen in the Sri Lankan cricket team. This time this big change has happened in the Test team of Sri Lanka.

The Captaincy Of The Test Team Was in The Hands Of Dimuth:-

Dhananjay de Silva has now been made the captain of the Sri Lanka Test team. Earlier the captaincy of the Sri Lanka Test team was in the hands of Dimuth Karunaratne.

Now the Sri Lankan team has got three different captains in all three formats. Now in the new year, the Sri Lankan team will take the field with three new captains.

Sri Lanka Cricket Board has already announced the captains of the ODI and T20 teams. Kushal Mendis will be the captain of the Sri Lankan team in ODI and Wanindu Hasaranga will be the captain of the team in T20.

Silva Has Become The 18th Captain Of Sri Lanka’s Test Team:-

After which now the captain of the Test team, Dimuth Karunaratne has been removed and Dhananjay de Silva has been made. Dhananjay de Silva has become the 18th captain of Sri Lanka’s Test team.

Earlier, Dimuth Karunaratne had taken command of the Sri Lanka Test team in the year 2019. Sri Lanka played 30 test matches under the captaincy of Dimuth. Out of which the team has won 12 and lost 12 matches.

Apart from this, 6 matches have been drawn. Under the captaincy of Karunaratne, the Sri Lankan team has performed very well in Test cricket.

Dhananjay Has Scored 10 Centuries And 13 Half-Centuries:-

De Silva has a lot of experience in Test cricket. Dhananjay has played 51 test matches for the Sri Lankan team, in which he has 3301 runs in his name. During this period, Dhananjay has scored 10 centuries and 13 half-centuries. Apart from this, his performance in ODI and T20 has also been very good.

Dhananjay has played 90 matches in ODI in which he has 1865 runs in his name. During this period, De Silva has scored 10 half-centuries. De Silva has played 39 matches in T20 cricket, during which he has scored 731 runs.
