T20 World Cup 2022: The Indian cricket team has reached Brisbane for their next two warm-up matches against Australia and New Zealand.

In a video posted by BCCI, the entire team was seen traveling to Brisbane along with Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Rishabh Pant.

Team captain Rohit Sharma is already in Melbourne where he along with other team captains addressed the press.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami, who was replaced by Jasprit Bumrah, will join the Indian team in Brisbane.
Shami recently posted pictures on his Instagram handle, in which he was seen in a flight, all set to be a part of the team that is currently practicing in Perth.

Shami, who had recently recovered from Covid, posted pictures with the caption, “Time for T20 World Cup now”
“The All India Senior Selection Committee has named Mohammed Shami as the replacement for Jasprit Bumrah in India’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad.
Shami has reached Australia and will join the team in Brisbane before the warm-up matches.
In a big blow to the former champion, Bumrah was ruled out of the showpiece event due to a back injury.
He made his competitive comeback during the three-match T20I series with Australia, in which he played in two matches.

However, the 28-year-old was later ruled out of the three-match T20I series. With South Africa at home after which, the BCCI confirmed that he has been ruled out of the World Cup as well.
Along with Shami, Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur have also flown to Australia.
Earlier, fast bowler Deepak Chahar. Who was one of the stand-by players for the T20I World Cup? And was ruling out due to an ankle injury.

So Shardul Thakur has announced to take his place. Meanwhile, India lost their second warm-up match against Western Australia by 36 runs.
