The franchise shared this information on its official X handle on Thursday. In this, team captain KL Rahul is seen giving the jersey to Nicholas Puran.
His name is written on the back of this jersey and VC is written in the bracket. That means Puran will be the vice-captain of the team in the upcoming season.
Why Was The Command Taken Away From Pandya?
After this decision of the franchise, many people asked questions on social media as to why Krunal Pandya was removed. The reason for snatching the command from Pandya is clear he did not perform well as captain last season.
Under his captaincy, the team reached the playoffs but could not go much further. He did not perform well as a batsman and bowler after getting the captaincy.
But people on social media could not believe why Krunal was removed. He believes that without Rahul, Pandya would have handled the team in a better way.
