The New Zealand Team Announced For T20 Series Against England And UAE

The New Zealand team announced for T20 series against England and UAE. The New Zealand Cricket Board has announced its team for the T20 series to be played against England and UAE.

Three-match T20I series against UAE in Dubai:-

Many new faces have been given a place in this, while experienced bowler Kyle Jameson has also returned. They will play a three-match T20I series against UAE in Dubai from August 17-20, 2023.

The Kiwis will then travel to England for a four-match T20I series, which will be played from August 30 to September 5.

Tim Southee will lead the New Zealand team on both tours. Two uncapped players, Dean Foxcroft, and Adi Ashok, were included in the squad for the UAE phase following their outstanding performances in domestic cricket.

Who are Adi Ashok and Dean Foxcroft?

Foxcroft is a batting all-rounder who moved to New Zealand from South Africa in 2016 and only recently became eligible to represent the Black Caps.

The 20-year-old Ashok is a leg-spinner who has represented the New Zealand Under-19 team and came through the ranks after a string of impressive performances in the Super Smash tournament.

Kyle Jamieson returns:-

Pacer Kyle Jamieson returns from injury as the selectors picked him for both tours.

After suffering a back injury ahead of the England series, Jamieson underwent surgery in February and recently completed his rehabilitation.

With the year-end ODI World Cup in October, the Kiwi selectors and management will be keeping a keen eye on how Jamieson’s fitness and performance will fare during the tours.
