The Nominations Announced For ICC Women’s POTM For September 2022, three Asian Superstars have been shortlisted for the September 2022 ICC Women’s Player of the Month Award.
India’s Harmanpreet Kaur:-
Harmanpreet Kaur had a memorable month not only as a batsman but also as captain of the Indian team, leading India in a 3-0 ODI whitewash over England. This was India’s first series win in England since 1999.

Harmanpreet led by example during the series and finished as the highest run-scorer with 221 runs at an average of 221 and a strike rate of 103.27. He played the role of a finisher in the first two matches.
In the first ODI, his swashbuckling knock of 74* helped India chase down a 228-run victory. He then scored 143* off just 111 balls in the second ODI, his second highest score in the 50-over format.
India’s Smriti Mandhana:-
The Indian team captain was well supported by the vice-captain on the tour of England, with Smriti Mandhana scoring consistently in both the white-ball series.
The 26-year-old carried on his form in the ODI series as well, surpassing Harmanpreet to become the second highest run-scorer with two scores of 50+ with 181 runs. She was unfortunate to miss a century in the first game of the series, falling short by just nine runs.
Bangladesh’s Nigar Sultana
Bangladesh finished as the Champions of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 in the United Arab Emirates and captain Nigaar Sultana was instrumental in this, both as a leader and as a batsman.
In the opening game, his 53-ball 67 helped Bangladesh defend a total of 143 runs, which ultimately proved to be 14 runs too much for Ireland.
Chasing a modest target of 78 against Scotland. He scored his team’s top score, followed by an unbeaten 56 of 40 against the USA.
