The Asian Cricket Council made the official announcement saying – We are pleased to announce that the upcoming Asia Cup will be held from 31 August to 17 September 2023 and teams from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal will play a total of 13 ODIs. will play the match.

ACC further wrote in the statement – The tournament will be hosted in a hybrid model, in which four matches will be played in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka. The 2023 edition will have two groups, with two teams from each group qualifying for the Super Four round. The top two teams from the Super Four round will then face each other in the final.
