Actually, the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand has invited applications from individuals and businesses interested in acquiring franchises in the Uttarakhand Premier League. It has been announced to open expressions of interest for this.

Through this application, CAU has invited business entities and individual investors to collaborate for the development of cricket within Uttarakhand. The tournament will feature six men’s and three women’s teams. This will include only those people who are natives of Uttarakhand.
The franchise owners in the Uttarakhand Premier League will actively participate in nurturing local talent and promoting cricket across Uttarakhand.

CAU has partnered with event-management firm Spark Sports to provide a top-class experience for all stakeholders involved.
An MoU has been formalized between CAU and Sspark Sports for the second edition of the Uttarakhand Premier League.
CAU Secretary Mahim Verma shared his views on the second formal of UPL and expressed happiness over CAU starting its franchise-based T20 league.

He expressed confidence that this league will create a lot of excitement for the cricketers as well as the spectators. It is also a platform for local talent to showcase their cricket expertise.
