The PSL 8 Earns Pakistan Cricket Board More Than Rs 5 Billion From Bumper Profits

The Pakistan Cricket Board earned more than Rs 5 billion from PSL 8 with bumper profits. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has a ‘5-95’ profit-sharing formula with the franchises.

The Bumper profit of more than 5 billion Pakistani rupees:-

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made a bumper profit of more than 5 billion Pakistani rupees from the eighth (PSL 8) edition of this year’s Pakistan Super League.

This means PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) and six franchises will get 5% and 95% share respectively.

The Unaudited details of Central Pool exposed:-

Revenue is earned from broadcast, title sponsorship, gate money, and other rights. The unaudited details of the Central Pool have come to the fore.

As per the details available with the Cricket Pakistan representative, the total revenue from the event stood at Rs 5.62 billion. PCB’s share from this figure is Rs 582,534,480 while the total franchise’s share is Rs 5,046,776,989.

More Profit Than Last Season:-

Also, when divided among the six franchises participating in the PSL, each team is entitled to a share of approximately Rs 841,129,498.

The earning of PSL 8 has increased significantly as compared to the previous season. Which resulted in a profit of PKR 2.3 billion.

One of the major contributors to the PSL’s revenue stream is television broadcasting deals, which include both domestic and international markets.

Broadcast rights have proven to be an attractive aspect of the tournament’s financial success. The revenue from TV broadcast rights in Pakistan was Rs 2,175,393,394 while that from other countries was Rs 402,824,378.
