Devine is joined in the squad by regulars Suzie Bates, Amelia Kerr, Jess Kerr, Maddy Green, and Hayley Jensen, while veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Jess McFadden could be in line for a debut after joining as a replacement for Izzy Gaze.
The series will be New Zealand’s last hit before they leave for South Africa for the T20 World Cup in February and head coach Ben Sauer is hoping for some positive results.
Keeping in mind the World Cup will be held next Year:-
“Over the last few months we have put together a blueprint of how we want to play, especially in the T20 format, with next year’s World Cup in mind,” Sauer said.
“This tour will be a great opportunity to continue the work and refine those plans and make any necessary adjustments.
“At the moment we feel we have a very good style of play and so it will be about putting everything together, on what should be some good wickets at home.”
