India fast bowler Umesh Yadav Signs up with Essex for the last three matches of the ongoing County Cricket Division One Championship.

Simon Harmer will be Accompanied by Another Foreign Player:-

Which the English club has announced. Umesh will replace New Zealand fast bowler Doug Bracewell in the squad and will be the second overseas player alongside Simon Harmer.

Umesh played for Middlesex last year, in which he took four wickets at an average of 71.50. His stint came to an early end due to an injury he sustained during a game against Gloucestershire in the Royal London One-Day Cup.

The Selection for home matches against Northamptonshire:-

Umesh will be eligible for selection for Essex’s home matches against Middlesex and Hampshire as well as the upcoming home matches against Northamptonshire.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Essex and I hope to make some valuable contribution to the team’s success this year,” Umesh said.

“I enjoyed playing in England with Middlesex last season, and it will be nice to return and test myself in those conditions again, especially in the middle of the title race,” he added.

Umesh Yadav has played 57 Tests and 75 ODIs. And nine T20Is for India and has taken 288 international wickets in total.

His last international for India was the World Test Championship final against Australia in June. He took 2 for 131 as India lost by 209 runs at The Oval.
