Test batsman Usman Khawaja will Join the team:-

The team’s leading Test batsman Usman Khawaja will join his Test team in India (IND vs AUS) on Thursday.

Pakistan-born Khwaja was unable to travel with the team due to visa delays. After which he informed about it through a meme on his social media.

A Cricket Australia spokesperson confirmed on Thursday that Khawaja’s visa was approved overnight and he would leave Melbourne for Bengaluru on an early morning flight.

The Australian cricket team will take part in a training camp in Bengaluru ahead of the four-Test series starting in Nagpur on February 9.

Test Player of the Year at the Australian Cricket Awards:-

After winning the Test Player of the Year at Monday night’s Australian Cricket Awards, the star batsman was set to leave for India tour on Tuesday along with the rest of the team.

But he could not leave his country due to the problems with his visa and is currently in Australia.

The 36-year-old batsman shared his status on Facebook with a meme template that read ‘Me waiting for my Indian Visa like…’ over a picture of an actor who played Pablo Escobar in the hit TV series Narcos.

Meanwhile, the Australia Test team led by Pat Cummins has reached Bengaluru on Wednesday. Their 5-day camp at Alur on the outskirts of Bangalore begins today.

After the camp, they will go to Nagpur for the first test. The Test series will begin on February 9 at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur.
