Team India’s selectors had made up their mind to send Virat Kohli to the Zimbabwe series to bring him in form. The selectors of the team wanted Virat Kohli to take part in the One Day International series against Zimbabwe in the month of August after a break of one month so that he could return to form. Kohli last played against Zimbabwe in the 2015 World Cup. At the same time, after 2013, Virat Kohli has not played any ODI series against Zimbabwe.
