The Company Refutes Kohli’s Claims Of Leaving The Brand:-

Amid rumors of the cricket superstar leaving the sports giant to join Agilitas Sports, the company has refuted claims of Kohli leaving the brand.

“PUMA’s relationship with Virat Kohli has been long-standing and continues to grow,” Karthik Balagopalan, Managing Director, PUMA India, said in an official statement, dismissing rumors of Virat Kohli leaving the brand.

The sports giant had made Kohli its brand ambassador in 2017. The global sports icon agreed to a massive deal worth Rs 110 crore and joins other players like Usain Bolt and Pele on the list.

Indian Athletes Have Come On Board As Brand Ambassadors:-

Since Kohli joined PUMA, several other Indian athletes including Mohammed Shami, Mary Kom, Harmanpreet Kaur, Sunil Chhetri, and Avani Lekhara have joined as ambassadors of the brand.

Virat Kohli, upon joining the club in 2017. Said, “It is a privilege to be a part of the great list of athletes that PUMA has. The brand has a rich history with not only today’s icons like Usain Bolt. But Pelé, Maradona, Thierry Henry, and others.”

The third Test match will be played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot from February 15. The final Test will be held at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi from February 23.

Will Announce The Team for The Remaining Three Test Matches This Week:-

There is also doubt over Kohli’s availability for the fifth Test starting in Dharamshala on March 6. The selectors are expecting to announce the squad for the remaining three Test matches this week. Selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar or top BCCI officials will talk to him to get a clear picture.

The personal reason behind Virat Kohli’s absence from the Test is said to be his becoming a father for the second time. This was revealed by his close friend and former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate AB de Villiers on his YouTube channel.
