In a recent conversation with former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist, Sehwag made a big revelation. Sehwag said that he was offered to play in the Big Bash League which he rejected.

Virendra smiled and replied bluntly. Sehwag described Indian cricketers as belonging to a rich country and asked them not to play in poor countries. Sehwag said, “No there is no need, we are rich people, we do not go to poor countries for other leagues.”

Virendra revealed that he had received an offer to play BBL. Sehwag revealed that he was offered an amount of around Rs 8 crore at that time.
Sehwag laughed it off and claimed that he could easily spend that amount on his holidays.

Sehwag said, I still remember when I was walking out of the Indian team. I was playing IPL, then I got an offer from BBL that I should participate in Big Bash, I said ok how much money, they said 100,000 dollars. I can spend this much money on my holidays.
