Wasim Jaffer: Seeing the poor performance of Suryakumar, I remembered Sanju Samson. T20’s number one batsman Suryakumar Yadav became the victim of a golden duck in the second consecutive ODI.

Surya got out without opening the account:-

He was dismissed LBW by Mitchell Starc on a score of zero. This is the second time in the 3-match ODI series that Surya got out without opening an account.

According to Jaffer, Suryakumar Yadav is a good player but if he continues to perform like this, replacing him with Sanju would not be a bad option.

Wasim Jaffer made this demand:-

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo after the match, Wasim Jaffer said – “We can sympathize with Suryakumar Yadav as the first ball he faced was 145 clicks.

There is no doubt that it is challenging when a left-arm seamer tries to bring the ball back in.

Still, he should have anticipated that when Mitchell Starc bowls, he will attack the stumps and swing the ball.

He further said that – ‘We have to see whether the management stays with him in the third ODI otherwise giving chance to Sanju Samson is not a bad option as he has done well when given a chance and he is a good player.’
