Expressed desire to include Samson
But before that, former Indian batsman Wasim Jaffer has expressed his desire to include Sanju Samson in Team India’s squad.

The wicket-keeper batsman from Kerala did well in the white-ball format in 2022 yet the management is not giving him a consistent place in the playing XI.
At the same time, Samson is constantly ignored due to his combination in the Indian team. That’s why Jaffer now wants a change in Team India and it is expected that this time Samson will get a big chance in the series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Get a chance in Team India for T20 and ODI:-
Wasim Jaffer tweeted, “I hope Sanju Samson gets a chance in Team India for T20s and ODIs against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. And may his race continue to be long.
Sanju Samson played 10 ODIs and only six T20Is for India in 2022. In ODIs, the right-handed batsman scored 284 runs at an average of 70 and a strike rate of 103.
After that the situation started getting worse for him and then he almost stopped getting chances. In T20Is, the RR skipper impressed everyone by batting from No.3 to seven.
Can bat easily at any number:-
Also showed his talent that he can bat easily at any number. At present, he is currently scoring runs at a strike rate of over 150.
Jaffer, on the other hand, believes that the wicket-keeper batsman would hardly have noticed any shortfall in his performance. Because of which he deserves maximum opportunities in Team India.

With Rishabh Pant failing in the white-ball formats, Jaffer believes the time is right for Samson to take an extended run in the Indian team.
