There has been no major change in the One Day International squad, with left-arm spinner Gudakesh Moti being the only new face.
West Indies will take on Bangladesh in the first two T20Is of the three-match series at Windsor Park in Dominica next weekend, with the final game on July 7 at the Guyana National Stadium in Georgetown.
Guyana will also host the entire ODI series from July 10-16:-
Thomas, 32, also missing out on the recently concluding Test series but failing to get a match. Another chance to impress himself after being ruling out after a T20I innings on the tour of Pakistan last year was founding.
Haynes reiterated the importance of the impending series, noting that it is part of preparations for this year’s showpiece in Australia.
“Generally speaking, we need to start looking at the bigger picture of getting these players to play together as often as possible in preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup later in the year. We need to make sure that we are fielding a very strong team for that tournament.”
