as West Indies registered a 35-run win in the second T20 International against Bangladesh to take a 1-0 lead in their three-match series in Dominica on Sunday.

Chasing 194 for victory, Bangladesh scored 158-6 runs in 20 overs. Shakib Al Hasan’s unbeaten 68 brought the tourists closer but despite some big overs for Bangladesh in the end, the West Indies bowlers always remained on top.
Romario Shepherd took 2-38 and Obed McCoy, who took wickets in the first two balls of the match, returned figures of 2-37, 20 of them conceded in the 19th over of the match.
Scored 34 off 27 balls with Afif Hossain:-
Shakib, who became the only batsman to score 2000 runs during the match and take more than 100 wickets in T20 history, scored 34 off 27 balls in a partnership of 53 with Afif Hossain. The latter was dismissed as the visiting team rolled out for 78-4 in the 11th over.
Shakib and Mosaddek Hossain added 53 more runs for the sixth wicket but Bangladesh’s chances of victory looked slim as the required run rate continued to rise.
West Indies won the toss and elected to bat, posting a score of 193-5 in their 50 overs.
Brandon King scored 50 as West Indies sought to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series after the first match on Saturday ended without a result due to rain.
