For comparison, the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup received a cash prize of $2.45 million USD. In Indian rupees, that translates to roughly ₹20.42 crores.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) actually awarded the Indian team a total of ₹125 crores. However, only ₹20.42 crores was the actual cash prize money from the ICC. The rest was additional prize money provided by the BCCI.
