World Cup 2023: Pakistan Has Put Another Condition Before Coming To India For The WC. Pakistan has put another condition. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi spoke to BCCI secretary Jay Shah before sending his team to India for the ODI World Cup this year.

ICC to be held in their country in 2025:-

They want written guarantees that India will participate in the ICC (International Cricket Council) Champions Trophy to be held in their country in 2025.

For the World Cup to be held from October 5 this year, the BCCI has selected Ahmedabad (match against India), Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata as the venues for Pakistan’s matches.

The ACC (Asian Cricket Council) headed by Jay Shah did not ratify the proposed ‘hybrid model’ for the upcoming Asia Cup.

India will play its matches in UAE:-

In the ‘hybrid model’, India will play its matches in UAE while Pakistan will host other matches.

According to a reliable source, Sethi is scheduled to leave for Dubai on May 8, where he will holding a meeting with ACC and ICC officials.

The PCB source said that during his visit to Dubai. Sethi is also expecting to start lobbying to garner support for Pakistan’s “principled position”.

BCCI and ICC wrote Guarantee:-

According to him, Pakistan will not play. Its World Cup matches in India until the BCCI and ICC give written guarantees regarding India’s participation in the 2025 Champions Trophy.

The source said, “Sethi recently met some government officials. And also took their advice on whether Pakistan should play in the Asia Cup against his stand. Pakistan wants the Asia Cup to be holding in Lahore and Dubai (hybrid model).”

He said Sethi has got the nod from the government to give a strong and clear stand to the ACC members on hosting the Asia Cup in September.
