World Cup 2023: The BCCI to improve stadiums before World Cup after complaints The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) is going to renovate at least five big stadiums in the country before the ODI World Cup to be held in October-November in India.

Basic facilities for spectators in most of the stadiums:-

In the last ten years, there has been a lot of money in Indian cricket, due to which BCCI has become the richest board in the world, but most of the stadiums do not even have basic facilities for the spectators.

In February-March, during the Test series between India and Australia, the spectators expressed their anger over dirty toilets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

The stadium will be improved before the World Cup:-

According to sources, apart from Delhi, stadiums in Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mohali, and Mumbai will also be improved.

Work has already started at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Crores of rupees will be spent on this work of renovation in all the five grounds.

Rs 100 crore will be spent on this project in Delhi Stadium, Rs 117.17 crore on Hyderabad, Rs 127.47 crore on Eden Gardens, Rs 79.46 crore on Mohali, and Rs 78.82 crore on Wankhede Stadium.

The 12 venues selected for the World Cup:-

Twelve venues have been selected for the World Cup. Which include Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot and Mumbai.
