The Forced to Play mentor role with Gujarat Giants:-

The 40-year-old Mithali was keen to play in the tournament but a lack of interest from the franchise forced her to take up a mentoring role with Gujarat Giants.

A source close to the development told News18 CricketNext, “Mithali Raj was keen to play but will now mentor Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League.

A close source told News18 CricketNext:-

On the other hand, Mitali has played 89 T20 matches for the country in which he has scored 2,364 runs at an average of 37.52. He last played a T20 match for India in 2019 against England at home.
