In the Women’s Premier League (WPL), Delhi Capitals are strongly eyeing the induction of experienced coach WV Raman and star bowler Jhulan Goswami as their team’s head coach and bowling coach in the inaugural league.

Delhi Capitals director Sourav Ganguly told Sportstar, “We have offered Jhulan the role of bowling coach and we are sure she will accept the offer.”

Looking at Jhulan Goswami’s career trajectory, apart from being a pioneer and leading wicket-taker in women’s cricket. She can be credited for nurturing and mentoring young girls across the country.

Jhulan is working as a mentor for the Bengal Domestic Team:-

Currently serving as the mentor of the Bengal domestic team after his retirement from international cricket in 2021. This could be a great opportunity for him to mold the next generation of players into the WPL squad.

On the other hand, WV Raman has served the Indian women’s senior team as head coach for a three-year tenure. And has been instrumental in instilling a competitive and vibrant team culture.
