Wrestlers Vs Brijbhushan Sharan Singh: Wrestlers have opened a front against BJP MP Brijbhushan Singh at Jantar Mantar. Now in his support Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee has come down. Mamta Banerjee took out a rally in Kolkata on Wednesday to protest against the alleged assault on wrestlers. Banerjee had taken a placard in her hand on which it was written- ‘We want justice’.

The rally started from the Hazra Road intersection in the southern part of the city and went to Rabindra Sadan. Banerjee participated in this 2.8-kilometer-long rally in her constituency Bhabanipur. He was accompanied by former women footballers Kuntala Ghosh Dastidar and Shanti Malik, former footballers Alvito D’Cunha, Rahim Nabi, and Dipendu Biswas, and many other sports personalities and common people.

Mamta Banerjee said, Brij Bhushan Singh is not being arrested because of being a BJP leader. This is a matter of shame for the country. The wrestlers went to Haridwar but the BJP MP was not arrested. We will continue the protest demanding his arrest. We are proud of the players. TMC will also take out a candle march demanding justice for the wrestlers.

Thackeray also came out in support

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena i.e. MNS chief Raj Thackeray also supported the wrestlers. He wrote a letter to PM Modi urging him to pay attention to the demands. In the letter, Raj Thackeray wrote that we call women wrestlers the daughters of the country. He has brought many medals to the country. Now they are pleading.
