IND vs WI T20 Series 2023: Captain Hardik Pandya said this about the team after the ‘Young team mistakes …’ match. The Indian team faced defeat in the first T20 match played at the Brian Lara Stadium.
West Indies made their comeback from T20:-
Although the Indian team has already clinched the Test and ODI series, West Indies made their comeback from T20. After this defeat, Captain Hardik Pandya praised his players for taking their full side.

In the post-match presentation, Pandya said that the team of young players will make mistakes. But we will grow together.
During this, Hardik also praised the performance of debutants Tilak Verma and Mukesh Kumar. However, he also accepted the mistakes of the team.
We were very comfortable chasing the target:-
Hardik Pandya said that “We were very comfortable chasing the target. But we made some mistakes and lost the match.
But that’s okay, a young team will make mistakes. We will grow together. We were in control throughout the match, which is a positive thing.”
Pandya attributed India’s defeat to losing wickets early. He said that “in T20 cricket if you lose wickets it becomes difficult to chase any target, that is what happened. When we lost our wickets, our chase stopped.”
‘The way Tilak started…’
Captain Hardik praised Tilak Verma, who made his international debut in the first T20 match of India vs West Indies.
Hardik said, “It was great to see the way Tilak started. Not a bad way to start off my international career with a few sixes. Tilak has confidence and fearlessness. He can do wonders for India.”
Pandya was seen in full support of his players after the game. Regarding Mukesh Kumar, he said, “The way he made his debut in all three formats, is really good.
The overs he bowled for the team were brilliant:-
He is really a good boy, he has a very pure heart. He wants to contribute to the team. The overs he bowled for the team were fantastic.
Talking about the match, the team captained by Hardik Pandya could not cross it even after reaching close to the target.

Losing wickets one after the other, the team had to face defeat by four runs. For India, Tilak Verma scored 39 runs in 22 balls, in which he also hit three sixes.
