Zimbabwe has announced the squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against the West Indies. Former England batsman Gary Ballance against the West Indies.

Named in Zimbabwe’s squad for the series:-

He is in line to play his first Test for the country of his birth after being named in Zimbabwe’s squad for the upcoming series.

Ballance played 23 Tests for England in the last decade but has recently switched allegiance to Zimbabwe and has already played three times for the African side when he played a white-ball match against Ireland last month.

The 33-year-old may get a chance to show his form in the two-match Test series against the red ball starting in Bulawayo on Saturday as he was named in the 16-man squad against the Caribbean team. ,

There is no place for all-rounders Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl in the Zimbabwe team as both of them are playing franchise cricket, while Craig Ervine will replace injured Sean Williams as captain.

The final Test will be held at the same venue on February 12:-

The first Test against the West Indies will be held at the Queen’s Sports Club from February 4, while the second and final Test will be held at the same venue on February 12.
