Cricket South Africa is confirmed on Monday (December 6) while announcing the revised schedule. Cape Town has traditionally hosted the new year’s Test in the South African summer. The Wanderers will host the New Year’s Test against India beginning on January 3.

The tour will kick off with the Boxing Day Test that is set to stay at SuperSport Park in Centurion with Cape Town hosting the third and final Test beginning on January 11.

Following the conclusion of the Test series, which will form part of the World Test Championship, the two teams will move to Paarl to play two ODIs on January 19 and 21. The tour will then conclude with the final ODI back in Cape Town.

As decided earlier, the four-match T20I series will be played later since the tour got delayed due to the outbreak of the latest Covid-19 variant, Omicron.
