Australian Test captain Pat Cummins recently said that the team is not as unruly as it was a few years ago and is just as competitive. Cummins also said Australia have moved on from the 2018 Newlands ball-tampering scandal ahead of the three-Test series they face South Africa.

Cummins said –

“We’ve all moved on, dealing with it. I think you’ve seen 11 different individuals go out to play in the last 12 months. We all play slightly differently but seeing a lot of laughs “I don’t think we’re as abrasive as we were before. It’s working for us.

Speaking ahead of the first match of the series in Brisbane, Cummins said that Australia are a different team. He also declared that no matter what happens, the party would remain united.

“How we are off the field is very similar to what we play on the field – calm, very chilled out, just out there enjoying it, really competitive. And we did really well over the last 12 months Is.”

Cummins continued –

“Even going into this series, that’s just who we are. Don’t try and feel like we have to act a certain way. We’re really strong about who we are as a team, we’re about How do I want to go?

“The last 12 months have been a great example of that. We are very firm on how we want to act and conduct ourselves. Whatever is thrown at us will not change that.”
