Dale Steyn calls Jasprit Bumrah the best bowler of current times

Legendary South African fast bowler Dale Steyn says that Indian star Jasprit Bumrah has taken the pitch out of the bowling equation with his unconventional bowling action, powerful yorker and fast pace. Bumrah led India to a spectacular win in the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam, helping the hosts level the five-match series 1-1.

Dale Steyn praised Japrit Bumrah and said :-

Dale Steyn praised Bumrah for his ability to consistently bowl wicket-taking yorkers even on Indian pitches, saying, “He is on his way to greatness. I don’t think there is any Test bowler at the moment who can bowl wicket-taking yorkers.” The bowlers should be able to bowl yorkers.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape team’s bowling coach Steyn said while talking to the Indian media on the eve of the SA20 title clash in Cape Town, “There are probably only a few bowlers who can take wickets in a Test match.” Trent Boult was one of them and probably Mitchell Starc. And of course Bumrah.

Dale Steyn further said :-

Steyn continued, “I remember I said ages ago that a good yorker bowled in India or South Africa or Australia remains a good yorker because you take out the surface, no matter what you bowled. Where to throw it. You take the pitch away and I think that’s something he’s done really well.”
