Former New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori and Victorian Andre Borovec have been appointed as assistant coaches of the Australian men’s team. The pair are set to begin their stint under head coach Andrew McDonald ahead of the Test series in Sri Lanka. In Borovec will also coach the ‘A’ team of Sri Lanka.

Daniel Vettori and Andre Borovec join Australia men’s team as assistant coaches-

Borovec and Vettori took the two positions left vacant by the late Jeff Vaughn. Joe has returned to Tasmania as head coach of the Tigers. And McDonald himself, who has served as former head coach Justin Langer’s deputy.

The pair( Vettori and Borovec) had played for the franchise in the past as well-

Vettori, who most recently worked as a spin bowling consultant for Bangladesh on the international circuit. He has coached under McDonald’s in the past for IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore. The pair had played for the franchise in the past as well. The veteran New Zealander worked in the Australian set up during the white-ball leg of the tour of Pakistan earlier this year.

McDonald said-
