Delhi Capitals entered the finals of WPL 2024 by registering a resounding win over Gujarat Giants
WPL 2024: The Meg Lanning-led Delhi Capitals team has made it to the finals of the second season of the Women’s Premier League. In the first season of WPL also, Delhi team had reached the finals but was defeated by Mumbai Indians in the title match.
The last league match of the ongoing season was played on Wednesday, March 13, in which Delhi Capitals defeated Gujarat Giants by 7 wickets. With this victory, Delhi Capitals reached the top of the points table and made it to the finals.
Delhi Capitals won 6 out of 8 matches in WPL 2024 :-
Delhi Capitals have won 6 matches in 8 matches in the Women’s Premier League 2024 and are on top of the points table with 12 points. At number two, Mumbai Indians have won five out of 8 matches and are at second position with 10 points. RCB has won 4 out of 8 matches and the team is in third place. RCB team has managed to make it to the knockout stage for the first time.

How was the match between Gujarat and Delhi :-
Talking about the match, Gujarat Giants, batting first, scored 126 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. In response, Delhi Capitals won the match by scoring 129 runs for three wickets in 13.1 overs. Delhi Capitals team was successful in gaining entry into the direct final for the second time. Last season also, Delhi Capitals team was the best team till the title match.

The title match of the Women’s Premier League 2024 will be played on Sunday, March 17. Delhi Capitals will face the winner of the eliminator match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
