Dhawan Ayesha Divorce: Divorce given on the basis of mental trauma

Shikhar Dhawan Ayesha Mukherjee Divorce: A family court in Delhi on Wednesday, October 4, divorced Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan from his wife Ayesha Mukherjee. Shikhar got divorced on the grounds of causing mental trauma and suffering. Delivering his verdict, Judge Harish Kumar at the family court in Delhi’s Patiala House acknowledged that the 37-year-old batsman had to suffer mental anguish as Ayesha did not allow him to live with their son Zorawar for years.

Dhawan has allowed to meet his son and talk on video call

In its judgment, the Honorable Court specified that Ayesha failed to produce plausible evidence in response to the allegations leveled against her and did not challenge any of them. Notably, the court did not render any decision specifying the permanent custody of his son. But Dhawan has allowed meet him and talk to him on video call.

Dhawan failed to secure a place in India’s 15-member World Cup team

Meanwhile, Shikhar has dropped from the team as he failed to cement a place in India’s 15-member World Cup squad. The left-handed batsman has an excellent record in the ODI World Cup but was still sidelined. He has scored 537 runs in 10 matches at an impressive average of 53.70 in this prestigious tournament. The opening batsman has registered three centuries and one half-century while playing for the country in the World Cup and all his contributions have come at an impressive strike rate of 94.21.

The batsman had a great performance in ODI cricket

The Delhi-born batsman has performed brilliantly in ODI cricket and has scored 6793 runs at an average of 44.11, which includes 17 centuries and 39 half-centuries. He last played an ODI for India against Bangladesh in Chattogram in a three-match ODI series in 2022. This was also his last match for India and since then he has not been able to represent Team India.
