Shahnawaz Dahani, PCB: PCB has given a stern warning to Pakistani fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani, who was dropped from the Asia Cup and ODI series against Afghanistan. Dahani took a jibe at chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and the Pakistani media in a Twitter post for not being selected in the team.

Shahnawaz Dahani posted and deleted it :-

Shahnawaz Dahani wrote that chief selector Inzamam seems not to know that I am a Pakistani bowler. No one questioned him in the press conference about dropping me from the team. After this post, the bowler received a call from PCB and warned not to make such controversial statements in future. After this Dahani immediately removed his post.

Difficulties may increase for Shahnawaz Dahani, PCB gave a stern warning.

Dahani belongs to Sindh province :-

Dahani is one of the few players from the South Sindh province to have played cricket at the international level in the Pakistan team. Also Dahani was a regular in the setup till last year. He has not played a single match for the national team in 2023.

Dahani expressed disappointment on Rashid Latif’s post :-

Dahani wrote on his Twitter handle, “Not a single journalist or cricket analyst dared to question the selectors or show these figures.” After Dahani’s comment, Rashid Latif immediately reacted as he immediately apologized to the cricketer. The apex board can take action against the fast bowler for his comments on journalists and the selection committee.
