New Delhi, Sports Desk. Dinesh Karthik made a comeback to competitive cricket with a bang through the ongoing DY Patil T20 tournament in Navi Mumbai. Playing for DY Patil Group B, Karthik smashed 75 off just 38 balls against RBI. During this, the right-handed batsman hit five fours and six sixes.

Dinesh Karthik came to bat at number four and on the basis of his explosive innings, the team reached a huge score of 186 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. The right-handed batsman’s turn came in the last over of the powerplay and he made sure to stay till the end.

Dinesh Karthik returned to cricket through this match

DY Patil Group B set a target of 187 runs in front of RBI, chasing which the opposition team could score 161 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Dinesh Karthik made a comeback in cricket through this match. He had earlier played a Ranji Trophy match for Tamil Nadu against Saurashtra at the GS Patel Stadium in Nadiad.

Earlier, Dinesh Karthik was part of the Indian squad in the T20 World Cup 2022. Where the Rohit Sharma-led side made a semi-final exit. He is currently a part of the commentary panel in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
