The two teams will advance to the regional finals next year to decide East Asia and the Pacific, along with sub-regional qualifiers for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Qualifier B will join the winner of the series:-

The T20 action begins with Vanuatu hosting the Cook Islands, Fiji, and Samoa in the East Asia Pacific (EAP) Sub Regional Qualifier A from 9 to 15 September.

The winner of the EAP SRQ A round-robin series will join the Philippines and Papua New Guinea in the regional finals in 2023, as well as the winner of the Qualifier B series.

Each EAP SRQ A match will be played at the Vanuatu Cricket Ground and the hosts should be confident of moving ahead with their MRF Tires Men’s T20I Ranking of 47 with the best in the group.

EAP SRQ B matches will be played at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Japan from October 15 to 18, with Indonesia and South Korea joining the hosts in the race for the final EAP regional final spot.

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has been expanded to 20 teams, with qualifications progressing through five regions from global qualifiers to qualifiers.

The winners of next year’s East Asia Pacific Regional Final Series – along with qualifiers from the Europe, Africa, Asia, and Americas regions – will earn a place in the 2024 tournament with 12 automatic-qualifying teams:

• The United States and West Indies as hosts in 2024
• Top eight teams in the Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia later this year
• Next highest ranked teams in the MRF Tires ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings as of 14 November 2022
