Brendon McCullum: England Test team head coach Brendon McCullum seems to be in trouble. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has started an investigation against him regarding an advertisement.

Brendon McCullum has appeared in advertisements for online betting company :-

Former New Zealand captain McCullum has appeared in advertisements for a Cyprus-registered online betting company. The ECB is very angry about this and has ordered an inquiry.

The England and Wales Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption Code prohibits players, coaches and officials from participating in or encouraging betting at matches. If Brendon McCullum is found guilty, he may have to step down as coach or may be let off with a warning by the ECB.

We have many rules regarding betting: ECB

An ECB spokesman said in a statement: “We are currently investigating this matter. We are discussing with Brandon the relationship with the Cyprus betting company. ECB spokesman further said, We have a number of rules around betting. We always Will try to ensure that these followed.”
