England’s David Willey Rejects Offers From Other T20 Leagues To Play A Full Big Bash Season, Willey’s name appeared in the BBL|12 Draft Platinum list last Monday to surprise some, but for Sydney Thunder, it was a no-brainer.

And as we found out in the inaugural BBL Overseas Players Draft on Sunday night, this is an important quality for Big Bash clubs.
The 32-year-old batsman will clash with Big Bash on January 4:-
It is understood that the 32-year-old left-hander had offers to play in the South African T20 league which will clash with the Big Bash on January 4, but his desire to play in Australia where his family could also tour was strong.
In contrast to Willey, compatriot Alex Hales, and South Africa’s Riley Rossouw, have been selected by the club along with their gold and silver selections.
The Thunder will depart for rival T20 leagues in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates in early January after eight or nine matches. Australian superstar David Warner is likely to be available after the Sydney Test.
“I’ve played against (Warner) several times – he, Hales, and Riley, I’m so glad they’re on my team,” Willey said. “I think we have a good side and if you get people in form during that period, I think we will go a long way.”
