England’s Heather Knight voted ICC Player of the Month for January 2022, the International Cricket Council on Monday released the Player of the Month award winners for January 2022. The month in which 2022 got off to a great start for women’s cricket.
Knight Selected as Player of the Month:-
In that England captain, Heather Knight was selecting as the player of the month. Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu and West Indies world boss Deandra Dottin.

When her team was competing in the one-sided Women’s Ashes Test, Knight scored the second-highest score by a captain in a Women’s Test with an unbeaten 168 in the first innings, including a 100-run partnership for the 9th wicket.
A Missed Scoring Half-Century by Just 2 Runs:-
Sophie Ecclestone took 169/8 to 297 to end the innings with 40 runs. In the second innings, the player of the match, missed a half-century by only 2 runs, but took England to 4 points of Test victory, until the experience of the Australian bowlers brought the match to a thrilling last-ball finish.
Declaring him the winner, the ICC shared on its official website the observations of Irfan Pathan. Who is a member of the voting panel? He said,
“168 is the highest Test score by any female English batsman against Australia in Australia,”
The Second Highest Score in Women’s Test:-
“It is also the second-highest score in a Women’s Test in Australia. His innings will be making even more remarkable giving the importance of getting a draw. For England in the one-off Test.” He added.
Among men, South African batsman Keegan Petersen was naming Player of the Month for January for his performance in the three-match Test series against India.
