England’s Sophie Ecclestone has moved up to the first spot in the No. 1 ranked T20I bowler rankings, accelerating the race to become the top-ranked T20I bowler in the world following the latest update to the MRF Tires ICC Women’s Player Rankings.

Ecclestone is still ranked No. 1 T20I bowler:-

Star England spinner Sophie Ecclestone is still rated as the number 1 ranked T20I bowler but her teammate Sarah Glenn has cut her lead at the top after the latest set of rankings.

The ICC updated the women’s player rankings on Tuesday and there was a lot of stir in the T20I ranks after the opening game of the series between England and India.

England took a stunning nine-wicket win over India at Chester-le-Street to start the series and Glenn was the star performer in that struggle as he claimed four valuable wickets and the Player of the Match award.

Glenn moves to second place in the T20I bowler rankings:-

Ecclestone failed to pick up a wicket in the same match. With Glenn moving to second place in the T20I bowler rankings. And within 13 rating points of his teammate after his lucrative effort.

England teammate Katherine Brunt slipped to third place on the bowlers’ list when she was rested for the series. While India spinner Deepti Sharma also slipped a spot without a wicket in that match to seventh.

Deepti did better in the batsmen’s rankings, the veteran jumped three places to 33rd after top-scorer for India with an unbeaten 29 against England.

The Ranks up 13 Places to 44th on batsmen’s list:-

England all-rounder Sophia Dunkley is top-scored for the winners. With 61 as she moved up 13 places to 44th on the batsmen’s list.

While teammate Alice Caps jumped 12 places to 52nd after an unbeaten 32.

There was no change in the top 10 for batsmen, with Australian pair Beth Mooney (first). And captain Meg Lanning (second) currently occupies the top two spots on that list.

The all-rounders’ list also remains relatively unchanged. With Katherine Bryce falling one place to seventh after missing Scotland’s second T20I match against Ireland in Edinburgh.
