New Delhi, IAS. Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has come out in support of Virat Kohli, who is under pressure due to his poor performance in the series against West Indies. Jaffer said that like Kohli, every cricketer goes through this phase. Kohli performed poorly in the ODI series against the Windies team. He scored 8, 18 and 0 in three matches. He could only manage 17 runs off 12 balls in the first T20I at the Eden Gardens on 16 February. Jaffer said that Kohli needs to show some patience as things are not going in his favour.

Jaffer said, ‘Every cricketer goes through this phase where he is not able to score. I think Kohli is trying his level best but he needs some patience. I think after coming out of this phase, he will continue to score runs like he used to do earlier. I am sure he is working as hard as he has always been. I am sure we will see him scoring runs again and again.
