New Delhi: Indian team’s opener batsman KL Rahul has performed poorly in the last few matches. He played a total of six matches for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2022. Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has expressed his displeasure over the Indian team management and said that he should give a chance to young batsman Shubman Gill in place of KL Rahul.

Talking on his YouTube channel, Kaneria said, ‘India should look towards Shubman Gill for the 2023 World Cup. He is a wonderful player. Rohit Sharma can remain the captain in ODI cricket. But they will need good players. KL Rahul has been given a lot of chances. But he has failed to perform well. He was not consistent. But Gill and Sanju Samson are doing consistently well.

Shubman Gill is a great player

He further said, ‘I will not keep Shreyas Iyer in this list. But Sanju Samson and Shubman Gill are great players. I think Sanju Samson should have been given chances.
