Former Pakistani cricketer Aaqib Javed advised Shaheen Afridi not to play T20 World Cup

T20 World Cup 2022, Aaqib Javed: The Pakistan cricket team is currently troubled by the injury of the players. Shaheen Afridi was injured before the Asia Cup, then the names of Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Rizwan were added to the list after the tournament. Talking to the local media, Aaqib advised Shaheen that he should not play the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. He said that bowlers like Shaheen are rarely born in the world, they are worth more to us than the World Cup.

Aaqib Javed said, ‘When you get injured, you have two types of injuries. If you are injured in bowling then something is wrong. Or you are not getting rest or you are trying to do more. He is unfit for the dive that Shaheen Afridi took.

In that injury you feel pain, then you rest and then you go to rehab. Shaheen has now gone towards rehab. Make sure Shaheen himself and the medical team himself before playing.

Bowlers like Shaheen Afridi are rarely born in the world. He is a huge asset for us. My advice would be that even if he doesn’t play a World Cup… He is worth more to us than the World Cup.

Shaheen can make a comeback in the tri-series to be held before T20WC 2022 :-

Shaheen Afridi was sorely missed by Pakistan during the Asia Cup. In his absence the team missed out on winning the trophy after losing to Sri Lanka in the final. Babar Azam will try to make Afridi play the World Cup. It is being said that Shaheen can make a comeback in tri-series to be held before World Cup 2022.
